The Team Oware (TO) is an organisation set up to promote the playing of Oware in all its forms within the community

Spectators will usually give advice and join in the banter

In areas of the world where it has been traditionally played it is used as a focal point for people to meet and entertain themselves

For thousands of years Oware has been used as an educational tool for children in Afrika.

Many academic authorities and educationalist have trumpeted the educational value of the game and have called for it to be utilized in schools.
